GRAFTON: A 45-year-old Grafton City Council worker was recently electrocuted while helping guide metal shoring, used to prevent cave-ins when digging drains and trenches.
"A 15-tonne crane used to move the materials touched an overhead powerline as it moved forward with the shoring,” NSW police said.
Police said the man, who suffered burns to his arms and chest, was hit with 11,000 volts of electricity and thrown backwards several metres.
The man is in a serious but stable condition.
