Kevin Brown

Kevin Brown, is the AWU Greater NSW Vice President and Construction organiser.

Kevin has been active in the industry for approximately 12 years, first as a site delegate, then as a union organiser. Kevin points to the “huge amount” of infrastructure development undertaken in New South Wales, including the Epping to Chatswood rail link, desalination plant, the cross-city tunnel and the Lane Cove Tunnel; all projects that AWU members played a big role in.

Safety is a big priority for the AWU, and Kevin reminds members of the need to be active and ensure that safety committees are acting in their interest. “Our members can rest assured that we in the AWU won’t be copping second rate wages or second rate conditions,” he Kevin. “Every worker has the right to go to work, earn a good wage and come home safely”.
